The University of Iowa Athletics Department seeks applications for a self-motivated, results-oriented individual with the knowledge, ability and interpersonal skills required to serve as Assistant Football Coach. This is a full-time, 12-month position, salary commensurate with qualifications and experience, and includes full University benefits. The University of Iowa is an NCAA Division I Power Five institution and a member of the Big Ten Conference. The Department of Athletics manages 24 varsity sports programs and operates under a “Win. Responsibilities: Perform all duties as a full-time countable coach, including prospect evaluations, on-campus, and off-campus visits, permissible communication periods with prospective student athletes, and eligibility criteria. This is an NCAA Countable Assistant Coach - specific position coaching responsibilities to be determined. Assist in the development of playbook materials; handle personal counseling needs of players directly supervised; public speaking and promotion; other duties as assigned by head coach.

Note to Candidate: This position requires some travel, work in the evenings, on weekends and holidays. Five professional references will be required at a later step in the recruitment process. The successful candidate will be subject to a credential and criminal background check and driving record review.
