Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Accounting Specialist to join our team. This role will focus primarily on accounts payable functions while contributing to the efficiency and accuracy of our financial operations. This is 100% on-site 5 days a week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accounts Payable (75%):
  • Process incoming invoices from vendors and suppliers accurately and on time.
  • Verify invoice details, including pricing, quantities, and payment terms.
  • Obtain necessary approvals for payments and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Resolve payment discrepancies with vendors and maintain accurate records.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and address any inconsistencies.

Qualifications:

• Degree preferred but not required (Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field, or a 2-year degree).
• Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in accounts payable, preferably within the transportation or logistics industry.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of financial principles and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with electronic payment processing systems is preferred.
