The City of Montgomery, Alabama several days ago, was awarded a grant to 'RESTORE' the Fairview Avenue to Holt Street-to Oak Street-to Holt Street section of the route the Selma to Montgomery marchers took, on their way to the State Capitol Building in The NOW HISTORIC; 1965 "MARCH FOR COMPLETE AND EQUAL RIGHTS OF THE NEGRO"-UNDER DR. MARTIN LUTHER KING'S LEADERSHIP.
The Cooper family's childhood home was at 1622-D Oak Street. The Elated, energized throng -a 'mixed multitude' of marchers passed right by our home, allowing several of the older Cooper children, myself included, to join this "once-in-a-lifetime Montgomery visualized civil rights demonstration for the guaranteed 'right to vote'-demand for full, equal and complete granting of civil rights for the Negro.
Now, almost as if Destiny has decided, it has become our time to play a dramatic role in the RESTORATION of a home we once languished for ways to escape our chains of bondage, racial deprivation of human rights, and poverty, my-my wife's and our company-the Cooper and Associates Twenty-First Century Solutions Company-has opportunity to look back-and REJOICE 50 YEARS, LATER for this DAY!!. We invite ALL READING: Join our celebrations of the JUBILEE YEAR-2015: To celebrate the 1965 Selma To Montgomery March as we utilize the EPA GRANT awarded to the City of Montgomery, Alabama to renew-'GREENING CHARRICE'- the National Historic Civil Rights Trail.
