This article is about an innovative idea called Brightbox. Brightbox is a phone charging station that allows the user to swipe his/her credit card for a one-time flat fee of $2-$3 depending on the location of the Brightbox station. When the card is swiped, you use the touch screen panel to open up one of the six doors which have three standardized charging cords. This concept is very similar to an ATM machine. You plug in your phone, close the door, and go out and about doing whatever you'd like. Once you are ready to pick up your phone, you once again swipe your card (for no additional cost) to open the door in which your phone is charging, unplug it from the charging cord, close the door, and you're done. It is a simple idea that is creating quite a buzz.
This article shows the importance of innovation. One of the key aspects of innovation is the idea has to generate practical results. This idea does exactly that. It transforms a simple, everyday need into an convenience. The co-founder of Brightbox, Jason Arcemont, realized the business opportunity and the possible growth of this service. This is what makes him a great entrepreneur.
There are many reasons this idea is going to become very a big one day. Though a small business now, it has the potential to become a multi-million dollar idea, if not much more. To start, the cost to the consumer is fairly reasonable and cheap. The constant use of our cell phones on the daily basis will drain out the battery and create a need for this kind of charging station. This produces a huge market for this kind of service. The convenience allows the consumers to rely on it as well. The last advantage but certainly not least is the fact that is simple. The concept is clear cut and has a straight forward function. This is useful for the population which isn't tech-savvy.
To sum up, Brightbox is an incredible idea with tremendous potential to become a highly successful business due to its convenience and direct objective that would make the lives of consumers a little bit easier.
