After reading a few science magazines and doing some allotted research on the web, I've found a profit-making planet-saving business idea from a simple bat house.
The greatest concern right now is the sharp decline of bees. We are heavily dependent on bees for they are the only ones that can pollinate fruits and nut plants, vital to our continued survival. Insecticide, a substance used for killing insects, has long been overused by farmers and home gardens to sustain their crop. These insectides being heavily toxic to bugs and insects has also been linked to colony collapse in bees.
Bats are the best insecticide. Farmers and civilians want to keep their fields clean of bugs, mosquitoes, and other insects, and that's just what bats eat. A simple way to rid yourself of unwanted bugs corrupting your garden is to keep a few bat houses around your garden/field. Bats only come out at night, thus they are no bother to you or your family during the day. A single bat can eat up to 1200 mosquitoes in an hour. Just having a few bat houses around will keep your yard/farm clean of insects.
A potential commercial product would be to build an automated bat house. Electrically powered a by a solar panel on the roof (a cheaper version currently in the works) with fans on the inside and sensors to monitor temperature conditions like humidity. Bats like moisture, the sensors will detect if the bat house is getting too hot and the fans will activate to keep the moisture levels adequate. These houses will be built to hold a large number of bats, with perhaps a smaller model later available. The target market will be large-scale farmers who will best benefit from this product.
Though small, these bat creatures are capable of so much. Save our bees, save our planet, and receive the gain of profit and morality.
