My blogging life begins…
I recently completed editing my first novel for publication, "What Happens in Vegas, Stays in Vegas", to be re-released soon. I originally self-published Vegas and found the process a bit overwhelming. I'm very fortunate to be under the umbrella of a major publisher who has the knowledge and experience to produce a successful product. We're currently in the editing stages and I found my involvement with editing to be fun and interesting. I enjoyed revisiting the characters and giving them life. That's one of the great things I learned from my editor. The downside for me was trying to edit and work a full-time job. It was hard getting into character for short spurts of time. I took a few days off from my 9-5 to work on editing, but that wasn't enough. It's imperative that I take more time to make this work. I've decided to take a hiatus of at least a month from the pesky 9-5 while editing my second release, "Dogcatcher". Yippee!!! I'm learning….
With Vegas being my first publication, I'm learning something new about the process everyday. Once the "professional editor" has made his changes and corrections, I'll find out what the next stage will be. Hopefully it will be ready for production. We'll see…
